I turned in the draft of my 490 paper this afternoon. Now to get back to work on senior seminar. However, I'm having far too much fun with iTunes smart playlists. If you have never played with them, you should. The archive of smartplaylists.com has a ton of ideas for you to use. Come up with your own. Basically, you put in some parameters, and iTunes will make a playlist for you. It'll even update live for you.

So far I have a smart playlist featuring songs I haven't listened to in over a year that aren't podcasts or interviews.. Okay, so I said 30 April 2008, which is close enough. There are over 1000 songs in that list.

This is going to be a lot of fun.

My favorite smart playlist is "Quietly Badass." To make a long story short:
"Battles and Combat" = stuff I can use in my individual character playlists for arguments, action scenes, or especially heated debates.
"Undistracting" = stuff without words in a language I know well enough to sing along.
"Quietly Badass" = "Battles and Combat" ∩ "Undistracting" ∩ five stars. I use it to stay awake when it's two AM and I need to finish an essay powered solely on righteous indignation.
