The Super Bowl killed Twitter. I tried to tweet that, even after going to the website and seeing that it was down.

*headdesk*

In other news, it turns out that the RSS thing I mentioned is definitely something funky on LJ's end. I already get IM alerts for lj_releases, so I'll be on the lookout.

I've also been cleaning my stuff to make the packing process easier. I've been running into some dilemmas, mostly because there's no chance to recycle at my parents' place, and since I plan on being there for at least a few months, I hope to make that easier for everyone because seeing my dad not only buy bottled water but throw away most of the bottles after one use incites a rage inside me that few things can reproduce. At least it's not Evian.

Anyway, I forgot I was writing this. Should I throw out my physics notes? After all, I probably won't use them again, but you never know. Granted, I still have the book (for now), and I've already recycled the labs and quizzes. The notes were much more accessible than the textbook, though, so I'm torn.

You might also be interested in knownissues, which logs the stuff in the Big Blue Box (that's its technical name) on the http://www.livejournal.com/support/ page.

I used to watch knownissues, but that must have gotten cut during a community purge for some unknown reason. That'll have to go (back) on IM alert.

LOl i haven't touched twitter today or the last few days since the ISP debacle I was experiencing... I bet the twitter system was overloaded!

Twitter was very overloaded. My feed was going crazy cheering one way or the other.

Scan the notes to your computer. Best of all worlds!

I like this idea. But so many notes to scan... *head explodes*

>< I have been trying to get my mom to do the whole recycle/farmer's market/stop grocery shopping at Walmart thing since I moved home about 6mos ago, and I've had some success (still working on Walmart, but since so much of their stuff is crap, it's becoming easier.) so there's hope yet.

I threw all my notes and stuff out, after keeping them for four years or so, because I hadn't looked at them. That's what the internet's for. :) But scanning them is a good option also.

I've been trying that too. Sadly Walmart is THE grocery store where I live, and despite the fact that my mother works at another grocery store, sometimes the price difference just makes her go to Walmarx for most of her groceries. She does like farmer's markets, though, but the nearest one is in the next state (not a huge deal since she lives a few minutes from the state border) and can be a hassle to get to since it's near the mall.

I keep the notes for the examples, especially since I write so much more in the notes than the instructor actually writes down on the board or says aloud. In math/science, examples are critical, but physics is just math anyway, and I have the math down. Maybe they will do better in recycling.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My mom goes to Walmart when she has stuff other than grocery to buy and then just makes one trip do, even though I suspect she hates them as much as I do. But I can't be too hard on them, because I lived in a town where if I wanted to buy things that didn't come from a boutique store, I had to shop at Walmart.

What is it with Farmer's markets being in bad places. The one closest to us is at the Botanic Gardens, but it doesn't seem like they have the parking capacity for everyone who goes there and the one at our Agricenter, well, getting there is my own personal version of Hell, lots of busy streets with no turn light, so while we like it, we don't go that often. Plus it's only open from like May to November, so yeah.

True enough. I hated physics so I got rid of it as soon as possible. :)
