Second, nine hours until NaNoWriMo begins! YAAAAAAAAAAY! (What, me excited? Never!)
Third, I have a super-cool topic for my astronomy paper. You know all the Pluto wank that went on after Pluto was reclassified as a drawf planet? Well, I'm writing about its impact on Internet culture--how we used the Internet in the Pluto debate--to find out about it, to react, to make fun of it. The making fun of it part will be a lot of fun. I'll basically be citing websites I'd visit anyway. "Look at how these people perceived the Pluto debate. They looked at another culture they're familiar with and turned Pluto's situation into one similar to that."
So I need your help. Yes, again. So if you have anything related to Pluto and other

I told Dr. Depree this today (about my paper topic since the proposal is due on Thursday) and mentioned that my topic was so recent--the wank part, anyway, only I didn't use that term--that I could find tons of information on it, but not many people will have actually written on my topic. He said that part of my paper could be about the decision over time to change Pluto's planetary status. (He also gave me a funny look when he heard my topic, sort of a "Now what was your topic again?" look. But then I explained it more, and it was all good.) Actually, that gives me a good idea. I could write about that first and then flow into the planet wank from this year.
So if you have anything related to planet wank, send them my way. The paper's due 30 November (can we say death?), so you have time. I may not use everything, but I'll use as much as I can.
Because really, who else would come up with a topic like that?

I'm trying to catch up on work and such before NaNo begins. I'm doing a decent job at it. I need to go to a children's clothing store this weekend to analyse gender. I'll do that Saturday morning so I can go to the Java Monkey write-in that afternoon. (Hear that, Atlanta people? Saturday afternoons, 4pm, Java Monkey. We're having write-ins there.)
Now I must go enjoy the last of fresh air before NaNo begins!
