Probability test: Check.
Packing: *looks around* Erm... I still have about two hours. It'll get done.
During lunch, we decided that yes, I would indeed own the world one day because I want to do everything. Well, I really do. Sure, I have a major and two minors, but there's so much that those three areas don't cover, like other languages and programming (hey, it sounds fun) and the other sciences and philosophy (even though I didn't enjoy my philosophy class first year, but I think that's because I always did the readings when I was too tired to enjoy them) and so many other things, all of which will be useful in the takeover. It's good to see that I'll have some support in this. "Then I'll get to say that I knew you way back when," Michelle said.
Hrm. I'll have to start reading the Evil Overlord List and start nitpicking my plan.
It's good to see I have some support here. Yay!
Also, at the end of next week, I will be here for the Southern Region MAA conference. Yes, a math conference, and Melissa, Nico, Mira, and I shall wreak havoc in every way possible. It shall be awesome. I asked Shauna, Lauren, and Sandra at dinner what I should wear (wow, how superficial) since I'm just going and not presenting (like I'm hoping to do next year and the following years), but I'll still meet a bunch of people in my field, and Shauna said, "I know the stereotype, but leave the pocket protector at home."
Actually, I did glance at the schedule and saw some familiar names on it, like directors of programs I applied for. Speaking of which, ETSU invited me to their REU program today (their REU director will actually be at the conference next week, but that's not why I mention this). By this time, though, I had already decided, as I knew I had to by today. And the winner is...
Yes, it just feels right. In the end, it felt right in my heart and in my head, and when they're in harmony, there's no stopping me. Plus it won't interfere with the release of Book Seven, which is good (but not the deciding factor). So I sent out the e-mails, and that was taken care of. Interestingly, I received a reply from Valpo's director but not from Clemson's. I can't check it right now because ITS is
Also, the guy I met on Friday still hasn't called. I'm still deciding whether I scared him off for life, he hates me forever and doesn't want to see me again, or he's just shy. I've already had several discussions about this, and the conclusion was that he was just shy and that I should call him. There's just one problem with this.
I can't stand making phone calls. Yes, really. I've probably mentioned this before, but I just don't like talking on phones. I'd much rather talk to people in person or even IM them. I think I just don't like the idea of doing just one thing at a time, which I'm stuck doing because I don't have a handset on my phone. My mindset is "go, go, go!" while talking on the phone almost demands, "Okay, sit down and breaaaaaaathe." One would think that I love these times of much stress because I get to multitask so much, but I do have to breathe, too, believe it or not. I just don't enjoy them as much because it's hard to multi-multitask, which is what I do during times of stress.
I'll be off for spring break in about an hour or so. Now I'm just putting off throwing those last few things in my bag. I'll do that whenever I feel like it, most likely whenever I get a call telling me they're five minutes away.
