welcome to skullcrusher mountain

Shirt, socks, underwear, update!

I told myself I'd go to bed early tonight thanks to staying up so late last night. Ah well.

First, Re: Your Brains in French, now with lyrics! As if I needed another reason to love JoCo. I love his French accent. I know what I'll be listening to while writing that final French paper, for it will eat my brains. Actually, that'll be geometry. Still.

Second, zorklyrics is my new favorite comm. Even better? Someone Zorkified Code Monkey! Come to think of it, "I Feel Fantastic" would be a great song to Zork up. Zork zork zork. You know, Zork outside the game context sounds like a 60s-era slang term. Zorktastic, isn't it?

Rowling gives OK for online Potter sequels. Oh, but please, no porn. Good luck with that one, fandom.

Speaking of porn, now we can flag stuff as adult on our journals. How about no. I'll label my content with warnings that will actually preserve lj-cuts and such myself, thanks.

I really should put something akin to the xkcd disclaimer on my profile, if only for my own amusement.

Just so you know, your search settings have been changed. Change them if you want.

As a comment in otf_wank:

The adult content settings are at the very bottom. The text cracks me up:

Not all content on LiveJournal is appropriate for everyone. These settings let you rate your journal as well as determine the level of content you are comfortable with viewing.

The defaults? This journal contains no adult content, collapse explicit adult content only when viewing a journal, and moderate filtering when viewing search results (filter explicit adult and offensive content). Despite my full DOB being publicly viewable in my profile.

Just saying.

So go change them if you so desire.

I took a bye week this week in LJ Idol, which is why you didn't see an entry from me about some current event. This week was madness. Voting's up, though, so go read and vote for other entries. Wow, the race is getting intense in the first tribe. Granted, I'm up with all the big hitters in Tribe Three, even though I'm not a big hitter myself. I just have a 'big' friends list, a significant chunk of whom are multiple accounts, people who aren't around outside of November, or just not real people. I foresee a merge in the near future.

THE END. Of NaNo, of course.

NaNoWriMo Word Count: 54823 words.

The short version is that I didn't bother to write for about a week, so I found it really hard to come back and write. All that advice you hear about writing every day is true, you know. Write every day. Or die.

The TGIO party is tomorrow afternoon at the Atlanta Bread Company in Decatur. Ooh, ABC. So Atlanta Wrimos, you know you want to come. It doesn't matter how much you wrote--just come and bring an excerpt! I'm still choosing the least crappy part.

My geometry presentation is Monday. I've still hardly started it yet. This is bad, especially considering I have a homework due Tuesday in there.

*checks Blackboard for weekly e grades* Ouch, 10, 8, and 8. That's definitely the worst weekly e week I've had. Assuming I didn't screw up the average (and I think I did), I have a weekly e average of 9.31/10. Not bad considering how little I bothered on this week's. He could probably tell, too, considering I missed class on Wednesday. :P

This is the best lolcat ever. Do want hypotenuse.

Oh, and just think what would happen if we cut the past tense from our schools. That would be hilarious.

Just think, this is just the beginning of exam spamorama. I promise there'll be much more of this to come in the next few weeks. Which reminds me. I need to start on those post-it notes.

*points at current music* I just found out about Chris Garneau today. I think I'm in love.
