Sushi moment of the day

After hearing that the light bulb on my lamp decided to end its life, Mum decided mail one to me. Never mind the fact that I could walk to the store and buy one myself, but just haven't done it yet.

It arrived today, and I celebrated returning to my room from work by light. So I opened the box, and sure enough, the light bulb (and my medication) had arrived unharmed. I screwed the light bulb in and turned the lamp on.

Well, that's weird, I thought. Check the specifics of the light, check the specifics of the lamp, note that it's not perfectly screwed in, so I turn the lamp off, unscrew the bulb, rescrew, and turn the lamp on.

Still nothing.

Lather, rinse, repeat a few more times.

Even weirder. I gave up and took a shower, something I needed to do anyway. Okay, let's try this again.

Then I noticed something. A cord. Yes, the cord coming out of the bottom of the lamp. Huh. Wonder where this leads. It leads to the end of the cord, where you plug it into the wall.

Except it wasn't plugged in. Apparently the Sushi who unplugged the lamp when the first bulb blew and this Sushi are not the same person.

Plug in the lamp. HUGE SUCCESS!
