Today was productive. As soon as I get up and go the library to let Maple do some tedious calculations for me, I'll be over halfway done with my multivariable test. That will be nice, especially since everything is due Wednesday and Thursday. Okay, not everything, but something in every class. Look:

1) Linear algebra assignment due Wednesday 11:00am
2) French test Wednesday 2:30pm
3) Multivariable test due Wednesday 5:00pm
4) FYS Think Piece #8 due Thursday 9:30am

At least fencing is cancelled next week. I might get all this done after all. Yay!

In other news, nobody caught my split infinitive in the last entry: 15. Learn how to properly apply makeup. It should read Learn how to apply makeup properly. Shame on me.

Moving on. I have a terrible case of insomnia, mostly because my brain refuses to shut down at night. This is where you come in. How do you go to sleep at night?

Poll #707216 A Cure for Insomnia

How do you go to sleep at night?

Drinking warm milk/tea/whatever
Taking a warm bath/shower
Counting sheep (er, baah?)
Relaxing music
Going to sleep when tired
Visualizing something peaceful/boring/whatever
Ooh, shiny...
Insomnia? When I go to bed, I'm out!
You forgot something!

If you have another method or if you just want to be cool, what is it?

I checked count sheep, but really I just count backwards from 99 when I'm thinking too much, but usually I go to bed when all my work is done for the day like 2 in the morning and I'm out until the alarm at 7. It's fun.

I've had trouble going to sleep as long as I can remember and I don't think I've ever found a way to make myself go to sleep that works everytime. I've found that it's easier to sleep when I feel clean, hence my vote for the bathing/showering. When I can't sleep I usually try to tire myself out by reading and/or listening to music until I can't keep my eyes open anymore.

My insomnia has been a lot worse since I left Agnes. Perhaps, it was the fact that my roommate kept me up all the time.

Wow, this is long.

My brain also refuses to shut down at night. I have ADD. I stopped taking the meds they gave me 'cause they, uh, didn't work. Basically I just stay awake until I tire myself out. Hence why I am awake now when I need to be up 4 hours from now.
