I went to a cookout with Stephanie and Minda tonight. It was a lot of fun, especially when we started taking turns at Rock Band. Apparently I'm a maniac on the drums, even if I did hit only 75% of the notes. Hey, I take after Hannelore. What can I say?

After a lot of pleading this afternoon, I finally signed up to give blood next Wednesday. Any advice? I know to have a lot of high-iron foods and water beforehand. I'm just not a fan of needles. I do, however, have a nice convenient vein on my right arm. As Andrew would say, I'm very veiny. :P

There's so much to write about and so little time. Fun fact: Did you know that Google started its search engine on the same day I started Dr. Nbooking? I think that's pretty neat. We can celebrate together.

I need to update my 101 things in 1001 days list, as I haven't done that in a bit. I also need to actually sit down and type out all my (mis)adventures as of late, like telling Gail of career planning that I wanted to join the circus after I graduated. But that deserves its own post.

Also, I finally declared my French major today. My fate has been sealed.

On blood:

Start drinking water now. Always have a full cup or bottle on your desk and just drink. Starting the day before won't do any good.

Don't look at them putting the needle in, and it probably won't be a problem. I always look away, and then they cover up the needle after it's in my arm. I never even see it.

Feel free to ask them to release the pressure on your arm after they've put in the needle.

Thank you for agreeing to give us your blood. Muahahahaha!!! But drink lots of water because it makes veins more visable. That's the only tip. Oh and bring a book to read while they're doing it. Makes it a lot easier.
