Good news/bad news

My internship is going well.
I had a phone interview this week.
NaNo starts in just over three weeks!
I've actually updated my website every day.
Today's Friday.

I think I'm getting sick. My throat has been sore all day.
I need to try to get my student debt deferred, which involves calling them for a deferment form.
I'm starting to worry that I'm unemployable.

Not bad, right? Right?

By the way, you can still help NaNoWriMo win $10,000.

My new goal in life is to get the Nobel Peace Prize. I'm already Time's Person of the Year, so I'm a shoo-in. Right?

haha, oh yeah, I do.

Personally, I'm betting Obama will beat out Taylor Swift at next year's VMAs. He doesn't have THAT award yet....

Then Kanye will interrupt his acceptance speech. "Imma let you finish but Taylor Swift had the best video of all time!"

you should be able to get your student loan deferred if you're doing an internship, because that's considered to be "schooling"...even if you've already graduated/finished all of your courses. You may just need to show proof of internship or provide information about it.

I think you're allowed forebearances if you're on unemployment - or back to school.

"Internship" is considered as "being back in school" you just have to tell them how many hours it'll be and such...

Don't worry bout being employable...internships really DO help gain employment - you may need to do several of them...and they do lead to jobs depending on which industry you're in.

AND DO put your internships on your resume as a job... (indicate it's an internship) it IS work experience.

Too bad about getting sick...it's that season of the year...

I am definitely putting my internship on my resume; in fact, it's right on top, despite having a job for three years and holding some impressive leadership positions in school (editor-in-chief of the literary magazine, for one).

And yes, you're usually allowed to defer your loans if you're unemployed. I don't know about internships, and I haven't read all the paperwork yet, but I will call on Monday to find out what I need to do to put off repaying. Would have done that on Friday, but my phone died and I didn't realize it until I got home. Ah well. It'll be interesting, anyway.

Internships is considered to be "school" but it may be dependent on how many hours (typically internships run from 3, 6 months or up to a year). It doesn't matter if it's a paid internships - it's still considered as "school".
